She virtually shows them, step by important step, how to choose their particular deck of cards - how to set up their space - how to use templates – how to use many different spread positions - how to do absent readings - how to choose their materials, and much, much more! The emphasis of her book, therefore, is to purely help, teach and give a wealth of information, not only for the prospective student but also, on the individual cards and their combined meanings when found with other cards. This certainly sets her book apart from other Tarot books as a true teaching guide. With the books’ emphasis on ‘No-Reverses’, Patricia instilled in her former students the knowledge that reverse meanings were not used in the Tarot until the early part of the Nineteenth Century. She pointed out that there are sufficient ‘negative’ cards and combinations in the Tarot as part of a reading using upright positions only. Hence, as her friends’ research bore out, reverse meanings were not part of the original and traditional teachings of the Tarot!
