2022 WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Thrilling End to the Season!

International Figure Skating

Skating Into A New Era • With the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season, a number of figure skaters have announced their retirements. While some have been on the competitive circuit for more than a decade and have enjoyed success on the international stages, there are those who were not driven by medals or titles, but simply competed for the love of the sport. We acknowledge and applaud them all for their personal achievements.

Madison Hubbell & Zachary Donohue • Bow Out on Their Own Terms

A SEASON LIKE NO OTHER! • Vanessa James & Eric Radford Find Their Groove in Montpellier

CAMDEN PULKINEN • SHINES IN HIS DEBUT ON THE WORLD STAGE

CHANGING OF THE GUARD GLOBAL COMPETITION USHERS IN A NEW ERA • The World Championships provided an exciting end to the 2021-2022 senior season. World records were shattered and many personal bests were earned in Montpellier. The USA went home with five medals: One gold, one silver and three bronze, while Japan claimed the singles titles and a silver medal in pairs.

The Pairs • With the top five pairs teams from the 2022 Olympic Winter Games not competing in Montpellier, the door was wide open for whoever stepped up to the plate. As no team in the field have ever won a World medal with a current partner, new champions claimed the three steps on the podium.

The Men • With so many fan favorites competing in the men’s event, the cheering and applause in the Sud de France Arena was endless. But the highoctane competition left no room for error, and as one skater after another laid down a solid performance, who would wind up in which position was a question mark until the last man took to the ice.

Ice Dance • With the homeland favorites a sure bet to capture a fifth World title, who would claim the other two steps on the podium and in what order made for an exciting final competition in Montpellier.
